Не́вский проспе́кт — главная улица Санкт-Петербурга, протянувшаяся на 4,5 км от Адмиралтейства до Александро-Невской лавры. Пересекает Мойку (Зелёный мост), канал Грибоедова (Казанский мост) и Фонтанку (Аничков мост). Наибольшая ширина составляет 60 м (у Гостиного двора), наименьшая — 25 м (у Мойки). Нечётная сторона неофициально называется «теневой», чётная — «солнечной» (популярное место для прогулок)[2].

На современном Невском проспекте расположены многочисленные памятники архитектуры, музеи, театры, другие учреждения культуры. Проспект относится к исторической части Санкт-Петербурга и вместе с находящимся здесь комплексом памятников входит в список объектов всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО[3]; это один из центров притяжения туристов. Среди наиболее значимых культурно-туристических объектов: Адмиралтейство, Строгановский дворец, Казанский собор, Дом книги, Гостиный двор, Российская национальная библиотека, Александринский театр, Театр комедии имени Н. П. Акимова, Елисеевский магазин, Аничков дворец и Аничков мост, Московский вокзал, Александро-Невская лавра.*** Nevsky Prospect is the main street of Saint Petersburg, stretching 4.5 km from the Admiralty to the Alexander Nevsky Lavra. It crosses the Moika River (Green Bridge), the Griboyedov Canal (Kazan Bridge), and the Fontanka River (Anichkov Bridge). Its greatest width is 60 m (at Gostiny Dvor), and its narrowest is 25 m (at the Moika). The odd-numbered side is unofficially called the "shady" side, while the even-numbered side is called the "sunny" side (a popular place for strolling).[2]

Modern Nevsky Prospect is home to numerous architectural monuments, museums, theaters, and other cultural institutions. The avenue is part of the historic part of Saint Petersburg and, along with the complex of monuments located there, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.[3] It is a major tourist attraction. Among the most significant cultural and tourist attractions are the Admiralty, Stroganov Palace, Kazan Cathedral, House of Books, Gostiny Dvor, the Russian National Library, the Alexandrinsky Theatre, the N. P. Akimov Comedy Theatre, the Eliseevsky Shop, Anichkov Palace and Anichkov Bridge, Moskovsky Railway Station, and the Alexander Nevsky Lavra.
